Questions about blurring faces in images
- Is this image face blur tool free?
- Yes. You can detect faces, adjust covers, and download your image without an account or watermark.
- Can I blur multiple faces in a photo?
- Yes. The selected effect applies to every face detected in the image, as well as any covers you add manually.
- What if a face is missed?
- Drag across the face in the preview to add a cover. You can also add a centered cover and adjust its position and size using the number fields. Small, turned, distant, or partly hidden faces may not be detected automatically.
- Which effect should I use?
- Blur softens facial details, mosaic replaces them with blocks, and solid cover conceals the covered area. Solid cover hides more detail than blur. Browsers without soft blur support use mosaic instead. Review all covers before sharing; other parts of the photo may still identify someone.
- What file will I download?
- A PNG at the original image dimensions. Use still JPG, PNG, or WebP images; this tool does not export animation.
