FaceBlurOpen tool

Blur multiple faces in a video automatically

FaceBlur detects several visible faces in one frame and tracks their masks over time. One shared mosaic, blur, or solid setting is applied to every detected face.

How multi-face tracking behaves

Each detection is matched to a recent position so its mask moves smoothly. A short hold bridges brief missed frames. New masks appear as people enter, and old masks disappear after they leave. The tool does not let you include one person while excluding another.

Known difficult cases

Profile or turned faceFacial features may not be strong enough for detection.
OcclusionHands, masks, objects, or another person can hide key features.
Very small faceNot enough pixels may be available for reliable detection.
CrowdReview every region; automatic detection can miss individuals.
Same treatment for everyone. Individual face selection is not supported. If any detected person should remain visible, this tool is not the right workflow for that clip.
